Despite the existence of clear anti-smoking laws in Thailand, there are still instances of violations. These violations are defined as:
1. It is prohibited to sell cigarettes to individuals under the age of 20.
If the violation occurs: a prison sentence of up to 3 months or a fine of up to 30,000 baht.
2. It is prohibited to sell cigarettes in individual packs.
If the violation occurs: a fine of no more than 40,000 baht will be imposed.
3. Smoking is prohibited in areas where smoking is not allowed.
Responsible party: Fines will not exceed 3,000 baht.
Smokers in non-smoking areas: Fines will not exceed 3,000 baht.
